Psychotherapist
Helping you be your best self.
James Goodman

I'm glad you're here.
Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, but you don't have to face life's challenges alone.
Therapy offers a chance to talk openly, explore new perspectives, and build tools to make everyday life feel lighter and more manageable.
This is your space to feel heard, supported and understood.
Hi, I'm James!
As a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, my focus is on helping you develop practical strategies to manage difficult thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
CBT is a structured, evidence-based approach that encourages us to work together to understand what's keeping you stuck and find effective ways forward.
Whether you're struggling with trauma, anxiety, low mood, stress, or other challenges, my aim is to provide a supportive and non-judgemental space where you can build skills, gain clarity, and make meaningful changes that improve your wellbeing.

My Approach
Personalised Care
I believe in offering evidence-based NICE recommended care that is personalised to you. No two people I work with are the same.
Empathy and Collaboration
Empathy and collaboration are at the heart of what I do. I provide a compassionate, understanding environment for us to work together so you can feel heard, validated and supported throughout therapy.
Confidentiality
Confidentiality is at the core. I prioritise privacy and trust, ensuring your personal information and sessions remain completely confidential.
Feedback
"I didn't realise how much I needed this. It's been a painful process but James has helped me massively in the short term and I believe it will have huge long term benefits too. Thank you so much for helping me be a better Mum and a happier person too."
Female, 34
"James was amazing, and very understanding without judgement. To start I didn't think I would be able to talk to a male, but he really was brilliant. I always felt listened to and safe and I am so grateful."
Female, 55
"I was very sceptical before starting therapy as I thought I was a lost cause. James has really listened, understood me and my past and worked with me to improve my mental wellbeing more than I thought could be possible."
